Just another Saturday??????
Well Here it is Saturday morning. I didn't sleep worth a Damn last Night. I kept waking up from a strange dream in which my son Danny had returned form the dead. He had come to reassure his mother and I that there was something else after this life. I don't Know what could have caused me to dream these things except that Debbie and I went to the movies yesterday to see "The Secrets of Johnathan Sperry". It is a Christian film that dealt with coming to except Christ and dealing with death and things like that. It was a little slow at first but got better. What made it especially good was that at the end you find that it is based on a true story. It starred Gavin McLeod (Love Boat) and Robert Guillaume(Benson) although Guillaume part was small it turns out to be a pretty important one when taken in context to the message of the movie which is "Forgiveness" and Living for Christ. 1hr 36 min run time. Worth seeing.

Long Live "Wachikanoka"
It is with Great Sadness that I report the Passing Of Gary Ferry. Some of you may remember him as the host of a San Jose based program called "Movies till Dawn" sponsored by 3M Carpets. Others may remember "Race Street and Bascomb ave" I remember him mostly for his portrayal of Chief "Wachikanoka" The pot smoking Indian who co hosted a late night movie show known as "The Old Sourdough &Wachikanoka. They would show really old time classic westerns like the old Gabby hayes movies tied together at the breaks with hilarious Banter between the two hosts. I remember the show from the days when it aired on uhf channel KEMO TV 20 in San Fransisco. I believe it ran from about 1 am till 3 am. The part of "The old Sourdough" was played by Andy Moore. Andy is still seen today in segments of "Wild West Tech" and appears as the old Sourdough at events around the country or so I hear.
Gary Passed away Oct 6, 2009 after a 16 month Battle with Cancer. To Gary I Say Thank you for all the laughs and Smiles. To Wachikanoka I say.
May the Happy Hunting grounds Be Bountiful for you. I'll smoke a peace Pipe in your Memory. Peace Chief
